    How ItAll Began

    Sugar & Spice Lounge was born in 1999, when a family with a deep passion for authentic cuisine opened their doors at Queensbury Station Parade. What started as a small neighbourhood eatery quickly became a beloved destination for food lovers across North London.

    Over 25 years later, that same family passion drives everything we do — from the first spice ground in the morning to the last plate served at night.

    OurPhilosophy

    At Sugar & Spice, we believe that great food starts with respect — respect for tradition, for ingredients, and for the people we serve. Our chefs blend the fiery wok techniques of Indo Chinese cooking with the aromatic depth of North Indian and Sri Lankan recipes.

    Every dish is prepared fresh with hand-ground spices, because we know that shortcuts have no place in a kitchen that carries over two decades of pride.

    1999
    Sugar & Spice opens its doors at Queensbury Station Parade, Edgware — a small family restaurant with big dreams and bold spices.
    2005
    The restaurant expands its menu to include an extensive Indo Chinese selection, becoming one of the first in North London to fuse these flavours.
    2012
    A full renovation transforms the space into a modern lounge with large screens for live sports, private dining, and a vibrant new atmosphere.
    2020
    Sugar & Spice adapts during challenging times, launching delivery through Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat, bringing our kitchen to homes across London.
    2025
    Over 25 years strong. Still family-owned, still passionate, still serving the best Indo Chinese, North Indian, and Sri Lankan cuisine in Queensbury.
